Rafael Araujo Messerli studied law at the University of Basel.

After completing his studies, he completed various legal internships, including at the Department of Finance and Churches of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft, the Tax Court of Basel-Landschaft, a law firm in the Canton of Basel-Landschaft, and at our firm.

After being admitted to the bar in 2019, Rafael Araujo Messerli initially worked at a law firm in Basel, where he primarily represented clients in family and inheritance law matters. He thereafter spent six years at Ernst & Young AG, where he advised companies and private individuals on domestic and international transactions as well as on complex private law matters.

As an attorney, Rafael Araujo Messerli acts in both advisory and litigation matters. He advises and represents his clients primarily in the field of civil law. His practice focuses in particular on domestic and international matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, family and estate law, general contract law, as well as tenancy and labour law.
